Juniata boys fall to Halifax

It was a tough night on the hardwood for the Juniata boys basketball team as the fell Thursday to Halifax 58-41.

Devon Nealman paced the Indians in the loss as he finished the evening with a 12-point effort.

Following Nealman on the scoreboard was Jacob Condo, Tylor Gomez and Jaime Bailor all with eight points apiece.

Leading the way for Halifax was Nathan Blasick with 19 while teammate Dylan Wells with 17

Both teams battled to a nine-all tie in the first.

Halifax took control of the scoreboard in the second, outscoring Juniata, 19-14.

Leading the way for Halifax was Wells 8-point effort.

Juniata got six from Nealman.

When the two went into the intermission, Halifax held a 28-23 advantage.

Halifax added to its lead as it held the Indians to just three points while its offense rallied 12.

It was a high scoring final stanza as Halifax outscored Juniata 18-15 en route to the victory.
