Juniata wrestling opens season with impressive win over Greater Nanticoke

It was a great start for the Juniat wrestling team as they defeated Greater Nanticoke Area Hs at the Gary Woodruff Memorial Duals on December 3rd.

Juniata defeated Greater Nanticoke Area 60.0 – 12.0.

At 145, the Indians’ Taylor Smith pinned Jason O`Borski at 1:25.

Greater Nanticoke took 152 as Brayden Emel pinned Charlie Telfer at 1:07.

The Indians bounced back at 160 as Javier Lopez gave Juniata its second pin of the day. Lopez won by fall over Damian Zimmerman at 0:23.

At 172 pounds, Juniata notched yet another fall when Wesley Woodward pinned Sam Petrini at 1:15.

189-pounder, Harrison Mummah kept the pins a coming as he took down Jayden Teron by Fall at 0:55.

Things continued to roll for Big Red at 215 when Jonathan Kauffman pinned opponent Owen Atkins at  1:04.

In the heavyweight division at 285, Kelton Bonnell picked up an easy win for Juniata with a forfiet win.

At 106, there was a Double Forfeit. 113-pounder, Anthony Maradiaga raised his hand early notching a forfeited win.

Things were the same at 120 when Joey Bomberger also posted a forfeit win.

The Indians finished as strong as they started.

At 132, Ryder Smith notched a quick win over Conner Kudrako-Kashatus at 0:34.

Rounding out the match at 138, Casey Smith finished things off with a pin over Treston Allen at 2:41.
