Penns Valley XC shines at BVI
REEDSVILLE – Once again, the Penns Valley cross country team opened its season participating at the Big Valley Invitational.
This season was a special one for the legendary cross country invitational as it turned 50 this year.
Running against a wide variety of squads from Pennsylvania, the Rams held their own pitting up some strong performances.
Penns Valley’s boys were led by
Taven Price who finished in 20th place with a time of 18:40.
Teammate 28 Ethan Roland scored a time of 19:26 putting him in 28th place.
Right behind him was teammate Garrett Banyay, who finished just 10 seconds behind at 19:36.
39 Will Mayer at 39th place with a finishing time of 20:44 that was good enough to get a 39th place nod.
Rounding out the Rams runners at 57the place was Matthew Musser with a time of 22:43.
Leading the pack on the girls side was Lillyanna Smith who finished in the top 10 with a 9th place time of 22:36.
At 17th, Benedetta Murro finished her day at 23:46.
Two behind Murro was teammate 19 Leire Landeras-Ruiz, who finished 19th with a 24:29.
Finish strong at 31, Emma Bagrowski topped out at 29:48.
Rounding out the runners was 42 Chloe Showers, time of 34:17 good enough for the 42nd place spot.
