MC girls XC finishes ninth at Kutztown

The MC Girls Cross Country ran in the Brooks PTXC Invitational at Kutztown on Saturday, September 7. They finished 9th out of 16 teams with 124 finishers in the Varsity Blue race. Ava Wagner led the team with her 3rd PR in the past three races. Teammates Ava Kratzer and Amelia Coffey were within 11 seconds of Wagner at the finish. It is really good to see our top 3 run that close to each other. Madison Baumgardner continues to run consistently despite a really tough schedule in the past week. Today’s race was their third in 8 days with the fourth coming up this Tuesday. That is a pretty intense race schedule but I am proud of how well they have started the season. For many of them, their early season success is the result of the work they put in running over the summer. Their next meet will be against Carlisle and Chambersburg in a double dual meet in Carlisle.
