BEA girls throttle MoShannon Valley 9-0
The goals just keep on coming for the Lady Eagles.
Saturday, the Bald Eagle Area girls soccer team exploded once again for nine goals en route to the 9-0 shutout out of MoShannon Valley.
Sybil Thompson finished with a hat trick-plus one posting early goals to kick start the offense.
“The girls came out today on a cold, windy day and took care of business.,” said Bald Eagle Area’s coach Jared Moore. “Sybil Thompson was on point with her finishing, the midfield had great vision connecting passes all over the field, and the defense limited Mo Valley’s chances all game long.”
Offensively, the Lady Eagles outshot the Black Knights 25-3 and held the advantage in corners by a 7-2 advantage.
BEA goalie Makayla Spicer finished with one while teammate Emily Steffan tallied two.
Thompson opened the scoring with a goal at 10:32 off of an assist from Addisyn Burns.
Minutes later, Thompson once again found the back of the net from a pass from Savanna Albright at 13:27.
Adrienne Hacker put her name into the scoring column on an unassisted goal at 16:13;
Still in the first half, the Eagles went up 4-0 on a Savanna Albright unassisted goal at 23:10.
At 29:18, Thompson off an Abby Hacker hook up scored the hat trick.
Thompson scored her last goal of the game at 35:13 when she took the pass from Makenzie Bickle and sent it home.
Bekah Barndt thanks to an Addisyn Burns pass, scored at 43:16.
Less than 10-minutes later, Abby Hacker hit on an unassisted goal at 51:30.
Rounding out the scoring in the night was a goal from Heidi Eveleth on an assist by Addie Tice at 67:00.
With the win over the weekend, the Lady Eagles remain undefeated posting a 5-0 record.
