The MIfflin County girls fall in a nail biter
The MIfflin County girls soccer team took to the road Monday to do battle with West Perry.
It would be a nail biting contest as the Mustangs would outlast the Huskies 2-1.
Mifflin County opened the contest on an Emma Herwig goal from Abby Anderson at the 19:15 mark.
In the second half, the Mustangs tied things at one when DeeAnna Chubb hit an unassisted score at 44:00 mark.
The Mustangs hit their final goal at the 70:00 mark on a Jalinn Kell goal.
West Perry outshot Mifflin County 11-3 and led in corners by opportunities by a 6-1 margin.
Mifflin County goalie Liberty Cook finished with nine saves while West Perry goalkeeper Haley Nickel tallied two.
