The MIfflin County XC team falls to Carlisle/Chambersburg Tuesday.

Carter Smith led the Huskies in a winning time of 16:17. Teammate Wyatt Kauffman finished sixth with a 17:14.

Reese Cubbison rounded out the top 10 finishers at 10th, sporting a time of 17:34.

“We faced pretty tough competition today, and the respect goes to Carlisle and Chambersburg for showing up ready to compete. We let the race get too far in front of us and left too much ground to cover over the last mile,” said Mifflin County coach Alex Monroe. “They are certainly tired from the last two weeks of racing and we are looking forward to a full week until our next race. Not to go unnoticed is Carter Smith securing first for the Huskies. He’s learning how to run fast on tired legs which is exciting. Wyatt Kauffman also closed well today and is really close to bridging that gap to the front pack.”
