Hershberger lifts Lady Huskies to win over SC

STATE COLLEGE – The MIfflin County girls soccer team took a very competitive 1-0 victory Saturday against rival State College on the road.

It would come in dramatic fashion as

Desi Hershberger picked up the goal via a penalty kick at the 68:36 mark of the ball game.

Mifflin County led in shots by a 13-3 margin and in corner kicks by a 2-1 mark.

Mifflin County goalie Liberty Cook finished with three saves while State College goalie Sarah Mellot finished with 12.

With the win MC improves to 2-5-1 in the League and 3-5-1 overall.  Next up for the Huskies is home against Shippensburg Tuesday.
