BEA girls get back in win column, drops PO

The Bald Eagle Area girls soccer team got back in the win column Thursday defeating Philipsburg-Osceola 2-0.
Leading off the scoring at 6:51 was
BEA Emma Collins on an unassisted goal, making it a 1-0 advantage. Savanna Albright off a pass from Aiyanna Henniger at 67:24 put the game on ice.
“I thought the girls played really well tonight. It was a total team win. The defense was outstanding and Cami Walker earned her first varsity shutout in goal,” said Bald Eagle Area Coach Jared Moore. “Emma Collins was a force tonight. She was up and down the sideline, challenging for balls and scored a great goal to set the tone early for us. Savanna Albright sealed it for us find the back of the net on a great pass from Aiyanna Henniger. We need a big win and the girls stepped up and did it tonight.”
The Eagles dominated on corner kicks with a 12-2 margin.
The Eagles outshot the Mounties 10-4.
BEA goalie Cami Walker had four, PO had eight.
BEA Record now is 2-9-1.
