Mifflin County JH girls softball team remains undefeated

This season has been quite a special one for the Mifflin County Junior High Fall ball Team A as the Lady Huskies Defeated the Midd-West Mustangs In a Pitcher’s Duel.

The group honored Coach Jen Ruble, who is courageously battling cancer by wearing pink uniforms in support of their coach.

The pink was a surprise to Coach Ruble.  Parents organized the Pink out for the coach.

Both teams were strong in the circle but the Huskies were able to pull out a 2-0 victory to remain undefeated.

Grayce Napikoski started the game for the Lady huskies  and recorded 15 outs.

Napikoski struck out 11 batters on the day. The right-handed pitcher also surrendered two hits and zero runs over five innings while walking one.

An inside the park home run by Sarah Erb following a 7-pitch at-bat put Mifflin County put her team on the board in the bottom of the third.

Brenna Benny, Napikoski, Emily Dickson and Erb each collected one hit for Huskies. Erb led Mifflin County with two runs batted in. The outfielder went 1-for-2 on the day. Napikoski stole two bases. Mifflin County was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error.

Next up for Mifflin County is a game at Jersey Shore Junior High on Tuesday.
