Senior Night Delight; Huskies volleyball team picks up victory

Mifflin County volleyball hosted Juniata Valley for Senior Night this evening.

JV started the night off by winning set one 25-16, but unfortunately lost the following two sets 16-25 and 10-15. Jovi Bush had five kills while teammates Lily Curry, Ayden Long and Olivia Bedlyn each added two. Jayda Thomas had a team high five aces and six digs while Briah Moore added five digs. Lily and Jayda each had six and four assists respectively.

Varsity started off the evening recognizing five seniors Jamilee Gilbert, Amilia Green, Emmaleigh Harmon, Emily Porch and Adin Reese before getting to work. The team dropped the first set 18-25 before coming back and winning the next three sets, 25-23, 25-20 and 25-23, to take the match. Jamilee controlled the offense dishing out 20 assists to go along with a team high eight aces. Kate Hartzler and Ella Hartzler led the team with six kills apiece. Emily Porch led the defensive effort with a team high thirteen digs while Amilia Green and Adisyn Lyles each added eight.

Mifflin County travel to Trinity High School on Monday.
