Bellefonte has big night as they defeat PO

They are blistering their way through the competition.
The Bellefonte boys soccer team continues to scorch their opponents as they took a Wednesday meeting against Laurel Highlands foe Philipsburg-Osceola 6-1 on Wednesday.
The Mounties led off the scoring at 11:23 on a Hank Hazelton unassisted goal.
Bellefonte bounced right back at 12:47 on a shot by Cameron Ballas.
Bellefonte was back on the scoreboard at 29:43 on a Connelle Stabinger unassisted goal.
Stabinger scored again at 36:23 thanks to an assist Oliver Thornburg.
The Red Raiders continued to press the gas in the second half.
Bellefonte scored again at 57:03 thanks to a Keegan Timblin goal.
Two minutes later at 59:06 Timblin again hit the back of the net.
Rounding out the scoring at 68:18 was Mason Stoud.
Bellefonte outshot Philipsburg-Osceola 21-1.
“We started a little slow and allowed PO to score on a mental error on our part,” said Bellefonte coach Scott Martz. “It was a nice shot but we were asleep. The goal woke us up and got us rolling offensively. PO hustled and didn’t make it easy on us in the first half. In the second half we played much better and controlled the game better.”
