Bellefonte boys end regular season with dominating

The Bellefonte boys soccer team continues to roll as the post season gets closer. Wednesday, the Red Raiders defeated Bishop Guilfoyle 7-1.
Connelle Stabinger posted a hat trick-plus one in the 6-goal win.
Bellefonte got the first half started at
11:10 when Stabinger hit his first goal with an assist by Tristan Liadis.
Less than three minutes later at 13:38 teammate Wesley Cooke hit his first of his two goals on the night.
Wesley Cooke hit his second at 24:48.
For goal number two, at 31:07 Stabinger hit his second of the night with the assist going to John Servant.
In the 2nd half, Bellefonte scored at 43:16 thanks to the hat trick by Stabinger.
At45:11 Stabinger notched the his fourth thanks to an assist from Desmond Grindley.
The Mauraders hit their only goal at 58:12 as Andrew Burke scored on an unassisted goal.
Rounding out the Bellefonte at 69:10 was a goal by Youself Maksemous.
“It was a great way to end our regular season at home tonight. The guys did an awesome job of controlling the ball tonight and getting everyone involved which gave us a ton of scoring chances,” said Bellefonte coach Scott Martz. “Defense was solid all night and midfield controlled the field all night moving the ball up to our forwards. We were able to get quite a few guys in the game and they played really well. I was really proud of our play.”
Bellefonte outshot Bishop Guilfoyle 34-4.
Next game for the Raiders is a Saturday match up versus Bedford for the league championship @ Saint Francis.
