Altoona tops Mifflin County girls by 20

In Friday action, the Mifflin County girls lost a tough contest against Altoona 60-40.

The Lady Huskies were led on the evening by Marissa Gingrich with 15 while teammate Kate Knable finished with 14.

Brianna Bodtorf just missed double-digit scoring, finishing with a 9-point effort.

Altoona took the lead early outscoring Mifflin County by 10, 17-7.

The Mountain Lions scored 17 again in the second quarter while Mifflin County tallied 11.

Going into the intermission, Altoona held a 34-18 advantage.

Altoona kept the momentum going into the final two periods, posting 13 points in the third while allowing just 10.

The Mountain Lions put the game on ice in the fourth, outscoring the Lady Huskies 13-12 en route to the victory.
