Bald Eagle Area Claims Win In Thrilling Showdown Against South Williamsport

Bald Eagle topped South Williamsport 1-0 on Wednesday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at zero in the top of the fifth when an error scored one run.
Sierra Albright struck out 16 batters on the day. The pitcher also surrendered three hits and zero runs over seven innings while walking three.
Alizabeth Schuler took the loss for South Williamsport. The starter went six and two-thirds innings, surrendering one run on four hits, striking out two and walking one.
Maelee Yoder went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Yoder, Sydney Thompson, Taylor Habovick, and Albright each collected one hit for the Lady Eagles. Bald Eagle were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Kailey Eckert made the most plays with 16.
Schuler led South Williamsport with two hits in five at bats. South Williamsport turned one double play in the game.
Bald Eagle will play at home on Friday against Westmont Hilltop in their next game.
