Bald Eagle falls to Clearfield in girls soccer action

The Clearfield girls soccer team kept Mountain League foe Bald Eagle Area off the board Wednesday, winning in a 3-0 shut out.

Clearfield led in corners by a 5-4 margin while also outshooting the Lady Eagles 10-5.

“We didn’t have our best stuff tonight. Clearfield is a good team and they had our number tonight,”’said Bald Eagle coach Jared Moore. “So we are going to go back to work tomorrow and regroup and get ready for the next game.”


Bald Eagle Area goalie Angelina Grieb stopped seven while Clearfield goalkeeper Cayleigh Walker has five.

The BEA record is 6-3-1 overall and 4-3-1 in the Mountain League.

In JV action, BEA topped Clearfield 1-0.

The JV Record improves to 5-0-2. Claudia Irvin scores the lone goal of off a pass from teammate Sara Thompson.
