Bald Eagle girls shut out Tyrone, 4-0

Starting strong in their first game of the week, the Bald Eagle girls soccer team mixed a strong defensive effort along with some opportunistic offense en route to a 4-0 win over Tyrone.

The Lady Eagles also led in corners by a 5-2 margin.

Bald Eagle also outshot the Golden Eagles 13-8.

Bald Eagle goalie Mackenzie Vozniak tallied eight saves while Tyrone’s Rayann Walls finished with nine.

“Great team effort today. The defense played well and didn’t allow their forwards any room to move. The midfield was strong and won the 50/50 balls,” said Bald Eagle coach Jared Moore. “We were aggressive in the attacking third led by Falen McHenry’s hat trick and Heather Leskovansky. “

Bald Eagle’s Falen McHenry scored an unassisted goal at 18:35.

Falen McHenry made it 2-0 as she sent home a goal after getting a pass from Heather Leskovansky at 20:15.

McHenry lined up and placed a penalty kick at 47:47, upping it to a 3-0 lead.

Heather Leskovansky thanks to McHenry’s pass ending the scoring at 57:24.

BEA Record is 8-4-2 overall, 6-4-2 in the Mountain League.

Next game is vs Philipsburg Saturday 10/24.
