BEA makes successful return to D6 title tilt

Adding to their legacy!
After finding themselves in a battle with Penns Valley in their seminal final round, winning 1-0, the Bald Eagle softball team took that momentum into Wednesday’s championship game against West Shamokin and came home with the 4-0 victory.
Most importantly, the group captured the District 6 Class AA title.
Alexis Baney provided the fire works offensively for the Bald Eagles with a 2-home run evening. Baney went a perfect 3-for-3 afternoon scoring twice and posting 3RBIs. She also posted a double in the win.
Pitcher Sierra Albright was locked in striking out 13 batters and allowed only three hits in the complete game effort.
The game was a defensive contest for the first five innings as the game went scoreless into the sixth.
Bald Eagle got on the board in the bottom of the fifth, posting two to take the lead.
Baney put the Eagles on the board, blasting a solo shot.
Teammate Ava King also went yard, ending the inning for her team, leading 2-0.
In the sixth, Ava Stere started off the inning with a one-out walk.
Baney blasted her second shot of the night with a blast over the centerfield fence.
Bald Eagle returns to the PIAA state tournament where they finished as State runner ups in 2023.
