Beaver Springs tops McVeytown in Babe Ruth action

The Beaver Springs offense came ready to play as in five innings of play, they took care of business defeating McVeytown by the final score of 13-1 in Babe Ruth baseball action.
Beaver Springs got the ball rolling in the top of the first inning dropping four runs in the frame starting with a Caden Wolfley single that brought home Tucker Teats. Garrett Leitzel then tripled to center field to score Wolfley. Aiden Everly had a big two run single to right center bringing home both Leitzel and Nate Chambers.
Then in the bottom half of the first was where McVeytown scored their lone run of the game thanks to Clay Ammon who singled to right field that drove in Tucker Gill.
Wolfley continued the offense for Beaver Springs in the top half of the second with a single to center that scored Teats. Wolfley latered scored from second as he was trying to steal third, saw that the ball slipped past the catcher and hustled his way to home plate.
Later in the frame with the bases loaded, Cole Keister was able to score from third on a passed ball. The Dylan Miller singled to left to score Birch Harvey.
Then in the top of the third inning, Wolfley hit a SAC fly to right that brought home Teats. Later in the frame with the bases loaded, Harvey drew a walk that scored Leitzel before a single from Aiden Everly drove in Chambers.
Beaver Springs scored their final run of the game with a triple from Harvey to right field that brought home Chambers.
For Beaver Springs, Harvey was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a triple, Teats went 3-for-4 with a double and Wolfey batted 2-for-4.
McVeytown was led at the plate by Tucker Gill who was 2-for-3 at the plate and Clay Ammon who batted 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Nate Chambers got the start for Beaver Springs pitching three and two-thirds innings with a strikeout and a walk each. Tucker Teats then took over and pitched the final one and a third innings with two strikeouts and a walk.
For McVeytown, Zack Diehl got the start on the mound pitching two and a third innings with a strikeout and five walks. Tucker Gill finished the game for McVeytown pitching the final two and two-thirds innings with two strikeouts and two walks each.
