Bellefonte baseball takes first meeting over Bald Eagle Area

WINGATE – It would be round one of Centre County’s biggest rivalries when the Bellefonte baseball team met up with its cross county rival Bald Eagle Area Thursday.

Despite being on the road, the Red Raiders felt very comfortable in its surroundings as it took game one of the 2-game series, 16-1 in five innings.

Derek Fravel took the win while Tyler Hilgar took the loss.

Despite the loss, Bald Eagle got multiple hits from Jaden Jones (2-for-3) and Matt Reese (2-for-3).

Bellefonte has numerous players in double figure hitting en route to the 15-run victory.

But the two will meet later in the season and in a rivalry as strong as theirs you never know who will have the hot bat in their next meeting.
