Bellefonte boys battle strong but falls late to Tyrone
Thursday night the Bellefonte boys soccer team found themselves in a back-and-forth battle against Tyrone.
The game would not be decided until late in the second half.
Unfortunately for Bellefonte, a blast from beyond the 20 gave the Golden Eagles the 2-1 nail biting si .
“It was a great game. It went back and forth. Bellefonte controlled the game with a great passing game but when getting inside Tyrone’s 20 their(Tyrone’s) defense played well,” said Bellefonte coach Scott Martz said. “When we did get through, we just couldn’t finish a shot. Tyrone’s winning goal came in the final two minutes from a beautiful shot about 20 yards out.”
Bellefonte’s goal was scored by Dan Persiko.
Bellefonte will be back in action Wednesday September 18th.
