Bellefonte boys continues its winning ways; drops Central

The Bellefonte boys soccer team controlled things throughout their game against Central winning 4-1.

In the first half, The Red Raiders scored at 1:10 as Dan Persiko blasted a shot thanks to an assist by Zack Copertino.

In 2nd half, Bellefonte scored again,this time at 44:49 when Gabe Koller off an assist Shea Chapman tickled the twine, making it 2-0.

Bellefonte scored again at 50:29 when speedster Mintesinot Borst off an assist Noah Gadsby slammed it past Central’s goalie.

Central finally got a goal at 65:37 from Brandon Kensinger.

Bellefonte rounded out the scoring at 70:26 when Persiko scored yet again.

Bellefonte outshot Central 21-7.

“We came out fast tonight and scored quick. Then we got stagnant we moved the ball well but struggled to get a good shot on goal,” said Bellefonte coach Scott Martz. “They kinda packed the defense in tonight so it was tough to get through. In the 2nd half we talked about playing quicker and we ended up getting a lot of good shots on goal. Central goalie made some really nice saves to help keep the game closer than what it was.” 

Bellefonte is 9-1 overall on the season.
