Bellefonte boys end week with win over PO
The Bellefonte boys soccer team ended the week on a positive note as they defeated Philipsburg-Osceola 7-2.
The Red Raiders outshot the Mounties 22-9.
Philipsburg -Osceola led 5-0 in corner opportunity.
“We got off to a slow start tonight the game was back and forth early with us having a few good chances to score but PO gk shut is down. We finally starting playing better and served some nice balls through their offsides trap they played. We took advantage of our speed up front on them,” said Bellefonte coach Scott Martz. “PO had a good scoring chance late in the game off a corner and our keeper Eli Davis made two back-to-back beautiful saves.
We rounded the game out with a few different guys putting the ball in the back of the net which was nice to see.”
In the first half, Bellefonte notched the first goal at 27:51. Andy Geresanko scored on an assist from John Servant.
Geresanko was at it again at 32:27 on an assist by Connelle Stabinger.
At 36:12, Geresanko collected a hat trick thanks to another assist from Connelle Stabinger.
In the second half, Bellefonte made it a 4-0 contest at 52:28. Youself Makemous blasted a shot off an assist from John servant.
The Mounties first goal came at 54:47 on a Caron Long penalty kick.
Sawyer Sights scored the Mounties final goal at 63:15 .

Things continued to roll for the Red Raiders. At 68:02, Bellefonte’s Tate Tooker scored off of a direct kick.
Rounding out the scoring for Bellefonte was Aiden Reed off an assist from Connelle Stabinger at 72:21.
With the Thursday win Bellefonte ups its record to 6-1.
