Bellefonte boys soccer explodes for 7-goal win
It was an explosive night for the Bellefonte boys soccer team as they defeated Huntingdon 7-0.
The Red Raiders outshot the Bearcats 15-2 while they also led in corners by a 6-2 tally.
Bellefonte started its scoring on a
Andy Geresanko goal at 26:04.
Four minutes later Seth Caton put his name in the scorebook posting a goal off an assist Ian Orr at 30:44.
At 33:03 Geresanko notched his second goal off of a direct kick.
Seth Caton made it a 4-0 shut out at 35:00 thanks to an assist by Abdullah Wain.
“For the 1st game we played well. Played a good possession game and got some good quality shots early. Took a little while to get the 1st goal but after the 1st one they just kept coming,” said Bellefonte coach Scott Martz said. “It was nice to see multiple guys score tonight. Defense played solid and did a great job pushing the ball up to our offense.”
Things continued to roll in the 2nd half for the Red Raiders as at 65:49 Aiden Reed scored off of an assist from Cole Demota.
At 73:05, Yourself Maksemous put his team up 6-0 as he was assisted by Cornelle Stabinger.
Rounding out the scoring at 76:17 was Maksemous on another assist by Wain.
