Bellefonte dominates Central in mat action

It was a night where the Bellefonte wrestling team seemed to do no wrong, posting a dominating 66 – 9 win over Central.

With the match starting at 120, Central started well as Ian Crouch pinned Nathan Smith at 1:07.

But then the match took a quick turn to the direction of Bellefonte starting at the 126-pound weight class. Lane Aikey picked up the forfeit.

132-pounder Jude Swisher also picked up a forfeit.

At 138, Bellefonte’s Alex Coppolo pinned Luke Knisely at 4:53.

Brady Martin kept the Bellefonte winning streak going as he muscled out a slim 6-5 victory over Tyler Hess.

Central picked up its final win at 152 when Tanner Hall topped Alec Bossert in a 7-4 decision.

At 160, Ethan Richner pinned Central’s Lane Kocher at 1:25.

170-pounder Red Raiders Stephen Ivicic pinned Michael Fowkes at 0:27.

Ethan Rossman took care of the 185-pound weight class as picked up his team’s third forfeit of the night.

At 195, Tyler Benner won a hard fought 5-2 decision over Central’s Ethan Eicher.

220-pounder Max Barrier also notched a pin for the Red Raiders over Sam Eger at 1:35.

At 285, the Red Raiders’ Tyler Putnam notched yet another forfeit.

106-pounder Bellefonte’s Aidan O`Shea made quick work of Jaxon Matthews notching a fall at 0:20.

Rounding out the night at 113, Bellefonte’s Aaron Little pinned Tyler Biesinger at 3:05.
