Bellefonte offense explodes in 5-0 win

Offense took center stage Monday as the Bellefonte boys soccer team shut out fellow Laurel Highlands foe 5-0.

Bellefonte scoring in the first half came at 17:14 when Connelle Stabinger scored on an assist from Gage Rankin.

At 20:50, Keegan Timblin rounded out the first half scoring.

In the second half, Bellefonte’s offense started at 50:22 when Gage Rankin scored off an assist from John Servant.

A familiar face scored at 64:11 when Stabinger hit the back of the net thanks to an assist by Tristan Liadis.

Rounding out the scoring at 76:22 was Servant making it a 5-0 contest.

“Our defense was on lock down tonight they played incredible. They were making great runs tonight and playing great balls to our guys upfront,” said Bellefonte coach Scott Martz. “We controlled the ball 98% of play tonight moving it all over the field. We made an early adjustment in the 1st 5 min of the game and it worked out great for us.”

The Red Raiders out shot the Bearcats 16-2 and also led in corners by an 8-0 margin.
