Bellefonte takes care of business with Tyrone in 3-0 win

The Bellefonte boys soccer team dominated the Clearfield Bison Tuesday in everything but the score, winning 3-0.

After a scoreless first half, the Red Raiders started connecting on their shots.

Seth Catan scored off an assist from

Connelle Stabinger at 43:13.

At 68:24 in the contest, Gage Rankin posted an unassisted goal, making it a 2-0 contest.

Bellefonte added an insurance goal at 76:07 on a Connelle Stabinger blast with the assist from Catan.

“It was a struggle in the 1st half to get good shots on goal Clearfield did a good job of playing inside their 40 making it tough to move the ball through 10 guys,” said Bellefonte coach Scott Martz.  “We made some adjustments at the half and came out playing really well. After the 1st goal shots really started to open up for us. Good win for us on the road tonight.”

Bellefonte led in shots by a 16-5 margin while shutting out Clearfield 12-0 on corner opportunities.

With the win, Bellefonte improved to 4-1.
