Bellefonte wins again. Boys top Clearfield

Another game and another win for the Bellefonte boys soccer team as they defeated Clearfield 3-1 Monday.

Leading the offense for Bellefonte was Connelle Stabinger who posted two goals in the win.

At 19:30, Stabinger scored via an assist by Gage Rankin.

Bellefonte scored its second goal at 36:39 on an unassisted John servant goal

Clearfield cut the game to one at the 34:10 mark.

In the second half Bellefonte scored again at 59:19. Stabinger again hit the goal to extend the lead to two.

The Red Raiders outshot Clearfield 12- 4.

“You could tell it was a hot day and a Monday. It was not our best game we played flat and it looked like we were running in mud,” said  Scott Martz. “We did a good job controlling the middle of the field and passing the ball it was just tough to get off ahold shots as Clearfield played nine guys back. Our guys kept plugging away and did what they needed to do. “

Next game for the Raiders is Wednesday night at home versus PO for senior night.
