Bellefonte’s Geresanko hits hat trick in win over Westmont Hilltop

Thursday, the Bellefonte boys soccer got back to its winning ways as they were able to muscle out a 4-0 victory over Westmont hilltop.
Bellefonte dominated on shots on goals by a 27-4 margin. They also held a 9-5 advantage in corner opportunities.
Bellefonte’s Andy Geresanko finished with the hat trick posting three second half goals to help lead to the win.
“We came out very strong tonight with our passing game and did an excellent job moving the ball. We got up early in the game and then struggled to find the back of the net,” said Bellefonte coach Scott Martz. “Westmont’s goalie made some fantastic saves to keep them in the game. The second half started the same way struggling to find the net and then Andy had a flurry where he just caught fire for us to put the game away.”
Scoring first for Bellefonte was Andy Geresanko off an assist by Connelle Stabinger at 3:39.
Geresanko’s goal would be the only in the first half.
In the 2nd half at 67:51, Geresanko notched his first goal off an assist from John Servant.
At 71:38, Geresanko posted his second on an assist by Connelle.
Finally at 78:32, Geresanko rounded out the scoring while hitting the hat trick off another assist from Stabinger.
With the win, the Red Raiders improve to 8-2-1 on the season.
Bellefonte’s next game is Monday at Hollidaysburg at 3:30.
