Bennett, Lady Indians tops visiting Mounties

MIFFLINTOWN – The Juniata girls basketball team hosted the Mountain League’s Philipsburg-Osceola team on Saturday.

Offensively, the Indians were too much for the Lady Mounties as Juniata tallied the 60-21 contest.

Leading the offensive scoring was MacKenzie Bennett who scored at a feverish pace, finishing with 27. She outscored the entire PO team.

Philipsburg hung tough in the first half, trailing only by a 22-14 margin.

However, in the second half Juniata went on a 38-7 run en route to the victory.
