Big Seventh Inning Leads State College Past Mifflin County Junior Varsity Huskies

State College defeated Mifflin County Junior Varsity Huskies 17-0 on Monday thanks in part to nine runs in the seventh inning.
State College got on the board in the second inning after Kulka doubled, scoring one run.
State College scored five runs on five hits in the top of the third inning. Yourey singled, scoring two runs, Kulka singled, scoring one run, and Ingold doubled, scoring two runs.
State College scored nine runs on two hits in the top of the seventh inning.
Carson Cherry stepped on the hill first for Mifflin County Junior Varsity Huskies. The starter surrendered seven hits and six runs over three innings, striking out six and walking two. Ruocco started on the hill for State College. The hurler surrendered four hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out three and walking none.
Thad Gerwick went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Mifflin County Junior Varsity Huskies in hits.
State College piled up nine hits in the game. Kulka went 3-for-5 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. State College had a strong eye at the plate, collecting nine walks for the game. Crane and #6 led the team with two free passes each. Crane, Salvato, and #12 each stole multiple bases for State College. State College stole nine bases in the game. State College turned one double play in the game.
