Both Juniata doubles tennis teams to meet in D6 Class AA chamionship
Juniata will meet Juniata in the District 6 Class AA doubles championship game Wednesday.
Both doubles teams survived unscathed through the doubles competition to automatically crown a champion and a runner up in the same year.
Not too shabby.
The team of Max Lauver and Adam French started off their day in a 6-1 and 6-0 win over Richland’s Murad and Schmouder.
They were just as successful in the semi finals as they blanked their opponents 6-0 and 6-0.
Teammates Gavin Kint and Jack Strawser battled strong and finished with the 6-4,4-6 and 7-5 win over Huntingdon’s Pelkey and Harman.
In the semis, the duo won against Tyrone’s Lewis and Rabbe, putting Indian versus Indian in the title tilt.
