Braucht’s 24-point effort helps lead Penns Valley to win over Huntingdon

Despite taking to the road Monday, the Penns Valley boys basketball team was able to notch a 57-44 victory against Mountain League foe Huntingdon

High Scorer for the Rams was Zach Braucht with 24 points.

Teammate Kaleb Narber rounded out the double-digit scorers with 13.

Offensively, the Rams got off to a strong start outscoring the Bearcats 17-6.

But Huntingdon battled back to get back into the contest with a 14-9 effort in the second period.

Going into the intermission, Penns Valley held a 26-20 advantage.

Both defenses came out strong in the third quarter.

But when the buzzer sounded, the Rams outscored the Bearcats by a 9-6 margin.

With the game still in question going into the final stanza, both offenses came out firing on all cylinders and when the dust settled, Penns Valley clinched the win outscoring Huntingdon 22-18 en route to the 57-44 victory.
