Carlisle tops Huskies in volleyball action

Mifflin County Girl’s Volleyball was on the road this evening to take on the Thundering Herd of Carlisle High School.
JV started the evening with a tightly contested three set match. They dropped set one 21-25 and won set two 25-22, forcing the match to a third set. They fell behind early, and despite a strong effort at the end, lost the deciding set 13-15. Jovi Bush had a team high eight digs with Briah Moore and Ayden Long each chipping in seven and six digs respectively. Olivia Bedlyon had two blocks and two kills. Ayden and Jovi each also added two kills while Ashland Mazur added three aces.
The Varsity lost in three sets (15-25, 20-25, and 22-25). Lily Curry led the Huskies offense handing out seven assists. Kate Hartzler had a team high four kills while Emmaleigh Harmon and Brooke Wray each added three. The defense was led by Adisyn Lyles who tallied nine digs, while Emily Porch and Emmaleigh Harmon each added eight. Kahlen McCraken led the Huskies with three blocks.
The team travels to Palmyra on Monday evening.
