Central Mountain matmen tops Bald Eagle

On of the biggest wrestling contests so far this season came Thursday night as Bald Eagle Area traveled to Central Mountain.

In the highly anticipated contest Central Mountain came out victorious 46.0-21.0.

Opening up the contest at 120, the Wildcats got the pin as Zane Cooper over Hunter Gardner by Fall at 5:30.

Central Mountain also took 126 when Luke Simcox survived a rough 5-3 decision over Cooper Gilham

132-pounder Gino Serafini made it three-in-a-row when he blanked  Jeffre 7-0.

The lighter weights continued to impress as Central Mountain’s 138-pounder Taylor  Weaver pinned Mason Reese at 1:35.

At 145, the Wildcats notched another win as Rocco Serafini pinned Grace Stem by Fall at 1:35.

Rounding out the consecutive wins at 152, Griffin Walizer won by major decision over Cameron Dubbs 9-1.

Bald Eagle chalked up its first win of the night at 160. Noah Foltz pinned Lucas Porter at 3:57.

Central Mountain battled back at 172. Damien Galentine pinned Brady Proctor at 2:42.

189-pounder put the Eagles back on the scoreboard when Matthew Knepp topped Brayden Blackwell by a 13-6 decision.

At 215, the Wildcats were at it again when Nikolas Miller pinned Mason  McAuley at 0:15.

285-pounder Gage Sutliff pinned Bald Eagle’s Nathan Antonuccio by a pin at 1:58.

In the lowest weight division,106, Bald Eagles Lucas Fye pinned Clayton Foster at 5:03.

Rounding out the match at 113, Bald Eagles’ Coen Bainey won by forfeit.
