Central Mountain tennis goes 1-1 in tennis action

After winning their first match of the year, the Central Mountain tennis team fell to a very tough Hollidaysburg  team Thursday falling 4-1.

In their opening match at one, Central Mountain notched its only victory of the night when David Lindsay defeated Nathan Barton. 6-1 and 6-0.

Hollidaysburg Jadd Younes defeated Ethan Hall  in a very close 6-4 and 6-3 contest.

Ben Johnson kept the Tigers winning stretch going defeating Asher Talbot 6-1 and 6-0.

In doubles action, the combination of Haddy Obeid/Colin Edgell defeated the Wildcats Jackson Walker/Nate Brinker 6-3 and 6-4.

In the final doubles contest, Trent Gallagher/Nolan Tyndall of Hollidaysburg defeated Nick Piergallini/Joe Caimi by a final of 6-1 and 6-1.

The Wildcats fall to 1-1 on the season.

Next up for Central Mountain is a trip to Jersey Shore on Monday March 21st.

In Wednesday action, Central Mountain defeated Lewistburg 4-1.

David Lindsay started out the Wildcats winning as he defeated Eddie Monaco 6-0 and 6-1.

In match two, the Wildcats Ethan Hall defeated Grayson Azerado. 6-4 and 6-2.

Asher Talbot completed the singles sweep for Central Mountain as he topped Sar Vishwakarma 6-1 and 6-2

In doubles action, 1D’s the Wildcats Jackson Walker/Nate Brinker defeated Matt Rawson/Erich Stiner 6-2 and 6-4.

Lewisburg took the second doubles game when Will Cecchini/Grant Rowe topped Leisher Gugino/Lucas Porter 6-1 and 7-5.
