Chambersburg tops MC girls 11-0

Mifflin County Varsity Huskies fell behind early and couldn’t come back in an 11-0 loss to Chambersburg on Tuesday. Chambersburg scored on a single by Kenzie Boyd in the first inning and a single by Sofie Fetterhoff in the second inning.
The Mifflin County Varsity Huskies struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Chambersburg, giving up 11 runs.
Chambersburg got things started in the first inning. Boyd drove in one when Boyd singled.
A single by Riley Hine in the second inning was a positive for Mifflin County Varsity Huskies.
Kylee Miller led the Chambersburg to victory in the circle. The bulldog allowed four hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out six and walking zero.
Madison Wolfgang took the loss for Mifflin County Varsity Huskies. Wolfgang lasted five innings, allowing eight hits and nine runs while striking out five.
Sophie McCurdy, Hine, Dakota Hershberger, and Alaina Sharp each collected one hit to lead Mifflin County Varsity Huskies.
Chambersburg tallied 13 hits in the game. Hannah Runk, Fetterhoff, Samantha Paetow, and Boyd all had multiple hits for Chambersburg. Runk went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Chambersburg in hits.
