Cohen Leister’s Big Day Propels Mifflin County 13u All Stars Past Lackawanna

Cohen Leister collected three hits in four at bats, as Mifflin County 13u defeated Lackawanna 11-1 on Saturday. Leister singled in the first inning, doubled in the third inning, and doubled in the sixth inning.

Lackawanna m were the first to get on the board in the first when Chase Magnot singled, scoring one run.

Mifflin County flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring five runs on four hits to take a 5-1 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Talon Penepacker that drove in two.

A single by Mason Joyce, and a passed ball helped the MC 13s to extend their early lead in the third.

Max Trawitz earned the win for Mifflin County. The lefty surrendered six hits and one run over six innings, striking out three and walking one. Caution Diaz took the loss for Lackawanna . They went four innings, allowing eight runs (three earned) on six hits, striking out none and walking three.

Mifflin County accumulated 12 hits in the game. Joyce went 2-for-3 at the plate as the first baseman led the team with four runs batted in. Chase Benfer collected two hits for Mifflin County in three at bats. Leister stole two bases.

Magnot went 2-for-3 at the plate as they led the team with one run batted in.
