Cressman, Juniata softball successful in team opener

Congratulations to the Juniata girls softball team as they defeated Susquenita 8-5.

The team is coached by Erin Cressman.

Juniata was cool under pressure as the team battled to plate four in the bottom of the sixth to capture the victory in the Jaws of Defeat.

With the 8-5 win Juniata is now 1-0 while Susquenita is now 0-1.

Elizabeth Gaisior struck out 13 batters and hit a 2-run HR in the 6th.

Olivia Laub went 3-4 with two doubles and two RBIs.

Next Game: 3/31 against St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy
