With its dominating win over Susquenita on the last regular season contest of the year, the Juniata Indians football team notched the Liberty Conference title Friday 52-20.

This was a contest that was decided early as again the Indians offense ran roughshod over the Blackhawk defenders, scoring all 45 of their 52 points in the first half.

Leading the offensive march was Seth Laub as he finished with 129 yards rushing and three touchdowns.

Zach Harr was just as dangerous, finishing with 138 yards on the ground and a lone touchdown.

Waylon Erenzeller rounded out the rushing attack, just missing a 100 yards as well posting 84.

Aaron Kanagy scored one and threw a touchdown pass, finishing with a 30-yard touchdown pass. He also scored one on the ground as well en route the victory.

Starting off the contest. Juniata was very busy in the opening quarter, posting 32, putting things away early.

With its defense holding the Blackhawks at bay, the Juniata offense continued its spark, posting 13 more points in the second quarter.

With the 45-0 halftime lead, the game went right into a mercy rule contest.

However, that did not stop the Indians from pushing one more touchdown in the third, making it a 52-6 contest going into the final stanza.

In the fourth, the Blackhawks were able to post two touchdowns but it was too little, too late as Juniata went onto the victory.

With its win, Juniata will have a rematch from last season at it will do battle with a spunky group from Bellefonte.
