Deep in the heart of Texas; Mifflin County 15s are heading to National Championships

Stampede headed to Texas!

The Mifflin County 15-year-olds are heading to play for a National Championship as they marched unscathed through the Mid-Atlantic Regionals.

It would be another win over a familiar foe in Centre County that would give the team the Mid-Atlantic Championship, winning 9-3.

It would be Mifflin County’s second win in as many days against the only team they would lose to in State and Regional competition.

Leading the charge was Landon Eichhorn’s strong finish on the mound.

Eichhorn went 4 2/3 innings abd struck out two on the night while Mifflin County’s other hurler Aiden Reed struck out two as well.

Offensively, Ryan Kanagy notched 2RBIs. Kanagy was only one RBI  short of the entire Centre County team.

Centre County got strong hitting from Kahale Burns and Kaleb as they both finished with two hits each.

Now Mifflin County sets its sights on Texas and for a National Championship.
