Defense leads BEA girls to win over Williamsport

Defense was the name of the game Saturday as the Bald Eagle Girls held Williamsport to one lone run while its offense was able to manufacture two of its own, taking home the victory.

Maddie Peters was the winning pitcher. She gave up one unearned run, walked one, struck out 12. She scattered five hits throughout. Helping her own cause, Peters had two hits and an RBI, while Madison Eckley also had two hits and an RBI.Eckley drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 6th with Maddie Perry on after she singled. Great defensive game won by timely hitting.
