Defense spells out victory for MC junior girls soccer

In a nailbiter, the Mifflin County Junior High Varsity girls soccer team was able to win with a strong defense 2-1 over Shippensburg.
Mifflin County pounded 10 shots on goal while its defensive back-third allowed only five shots from Ship.
Goalkeeper Bailey McNitt saved all five in the victory.
Aubrey Strohecker picked up the first goal as she was assisted by Kate Bickhart.
Picking up the winning goal for the “Purple and Black Attack”was Sarah Henry on an unassisted goal.
Shippensburg had six saves on the day.
The Huskies also took home the Junior High Junior Varsity game as they took home the 1-0 victory.
Mifflin County had six shots on goal while the Huskies got a combined four saves from goalies Sadie Fike and Maddie Finkenbiner.
Kylie Strawser had the only goal of the game, coming on an unassisted opportunity.
Shippensburg saved four and had four shots on goal.
