LEWISTOWN – The first of three games in the CKFL Peewee division playoff started off with a big win from the Derry-Decatur Cyclones winning 20-6 over the Terrace Tigers.
The Cyclones got behind the efforts of Brady Kahley who scored the first touchdown of the game going 21 yards for the score. Kahley also scored the extra point to put them up 7-0.
The Tigers finally got on the board late in the opening quarter with a little bit of trickery as Owen Deans was given the ball only to turn and fire a rocket to Reece Hagerty that went 30 yards for the touchdown. However, the two point try had failed leaving the score 7-6.
Neither team was able to score again until late in the second quarter as Kahley broke loose going 15 yards for the rushing touchdown.
The final score of the match was once again courtesy of Kahley who powered his way into the endzone going one yard.
The Cyclones also got some big contributions from Tatum Hesketh, Westin Cenite and Cole Williams.
Terrace also had some big time defensive plays thanks to the efforts of one Elijah Peters who collected two interceptions for the Tigers.
There were a pair of Mighty Might games going on as well with the first game being Burnham versus Juniata where the Bulldogs came out on top by the final score of 6-4.
The other Mighty Might game being played was between Terrace and Derry-Decatur, but this time it was the Tigers who were victorious, winning 6-2.
