Dominic Reed’s Week 7 Preview and Prediction

The Mifflin County( 2-4) will be making the trip to Waynesboro( 2-4) to take on the Indians at Buchanan Automotive Stadium just 49.18 miles away from the Maryland Line so it’s quite the hike for the Huskies but feeling good coming into this week after earning a gritty 8-6 win over Palmyra a week ago.

Mifflin County’s running got got off to a rapid start)

Mifflin County’s Jaxon Strohecker was brilliant during the teams 8-6 win over the Cougars Strohecker eclipsed over 100 yards he also picked up his first varsity touchdown but the Huskies will have to do without Strohecker this week as he will be out for six weeks Mifflin County will have to rely on Brandon Kauffman and Zahir Hill Kauffman was also banged up after the game last week so we will so how Mifflin County will display their run game against Waynesboro.

Chase Hartung didn’t light up the stat book but made the passes he needed to to get the Huskies past Palmyra last week he went 6/17 for 64 yards on one interception.

The Indians are coming off a 49-14 win over Northern so Mifflin County is prepping for a team that is capable winning by large margins something Waynesboro hasn’t been able to do until they played Northern York that has struggled this year so they will have a challenge on their hands especially against a Huskies defense that doesn’t give you much. Waynesboro will have to be mindful of guys like Gavin Herrington, Adan Daubert, Brayan Aurand and others.

Waynesboro on offense the Huskies will be looking to keep Christian Munday he averages 86.5 yards per game in the receiving game Kean Baumgardner averages 68.7 yards a game in the running game they are both veterans playing in their senior seasons.

I look for Steven Howard to pose a threat for Hartung and the Huskies receiving game he has three interceptions this season so that could deciding factor in this game if they need him to come up big Mifflin County came up big on their home turf on a pass to Cyrell Green a year ago to decide the game to get Mifflin County past Waynesboro on their home turf that Mitchell Field so the Indians will be looking for revenge.

It’s looking like Rayshawn Hewitt will be their quarterback. He also loves to use his legs; he averages 52.5 yards per game.

(Huskies vs Indians)

Mifflin County got the win last week but that was with their star running back in Strohecker Mifflin County will have to rely on Kauffman and Hill with the veterans on the defensive side and with Howard being a key part of the defense i think they make it difficult for Mifflin County and it;s passing game give me Waynesboro to win this game.

21-7  Indians
