Dotterer Equipment Inc. Kids Night Comes to Port Royal Speedway

PORT ROYAL, Pa- Following a week of two separate nights of racing during Pennsylvania Speedweek, Port Royal Speedway will return Saturday July 13 with a 4-divison show featuring the Weikert’s Livestock 410 Sprint Cars, the River Valley Builders Super Late Models, the Selinsgrove Ford Limited Late Models and the Juniata Junction Xtreme Stocks.

 

The night, sponsored by Dotterer Equipment Inc, will be highlighted by the fact that it will be Kids Night at the Speedway! Thousands of dollars’ worth of prizes will be given out throughout the night on a first come, first serve basis along with Kids Power Wheels and Bike Races during intermission. Dotterer Equipment will also have their equipment on display behind the main grandstand.

 

Gates open at 4:00 pm and at that time kids will be able to get their prize tickets and complete all bike registration under the pavilion. Prizes will be in the commercial building and YOU MUST HAVE A TICKET and be with a parent/guardian.

 

Bike races ages are as follows:

 

0-4 Power Wheels, 0-4 Bikes, 5-6 Bikes, 7-8 Bikes, 9-10 Bikes and 11-12 Bikes. All participants are REQUIRED to wear a helmet.

 

Logan Wagner is the current Weikert’s Livestock 410 Sprint Car point leader and he holds a 335 advantage over second place Dylan Cisney and a 285 advantage over third place Blane Heimbach. Races last week were won by Lance Dewease and Lucas Wolfe.

 

In Super Late Model action, Nick Dickson picked up his first win of the season last week during the Grit House Rt. 35 Challenge. He currently sits 4th in the series standings. Dylan Yoder sits atop the points with a 305-point advantage over second place Andy Haus and a 465-point advantage over third place Jeff Rine.

 

In a tight points battle, Andrew Yoder currently sits in first for the Selinsgrove Ford Limited Late Model division. He holds a 60 point advantage over Todd Snook, who took the checkered flag in the series last visit to the Speedway in June.

 

Finally the Xtreme Stocks will return for their fourth visit to ‘The Speed Palace’ of 2019. In 3 previous visits, point leader Brad Mitch (2-wins) and Pete Leister (1-win) have dominated. Mitch currently holds a mere 15-point advantage in the standings.

 

Gates open at 4pm with a racing start time of 7pm. General Admission is $15 with students at $7. Pit Admission is $30.
