HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata baseball team left it late in both games but managed a pair of wins against visiting Drew, 10-7 and 6-5 on a walk-off sac fly by Ben Raab (Langhorne, Pa. / Neshaminy) on a cloudy Saturday afternoon at Langdon-Goodale Field.

The Rangers came rushing out the gates as they pushed four runs across in the top half of the first. The Eagles got two back in the bottom half of the inning and didn’t get a hit to do it. Michael Warren (New Berlin, Pa. / Mifflinburg Area) walked with the bases loaded to score Ryan McClain (New Berlin, Pa. / Mifflinburg Area) and Raab followed with a sac fly to right, which allowed Isaac Maclay (Belleville, Pa. / Mifflin County High School) to cross the plate.

The Rangers scored on a sac fly to make it 5-2 through two innings.

Warren’s double to right plated Jake Swank (Portage, Pa. / Portage) in the bottom of the third, but the Rangers pushed their advantage to four, 7-3.

Dakotah Snyder (Lewisburg, Pa. / Lewisburg) blasted a two-run homer to left, which made it 7-5. The Eagles would complete the comeback in the sixth.

Maclay mashed a three-run homer to left, Swank scored on a pass ball, and Sam Craig (Mullica Hill, N.J. / Kingsway Regional) singled up the middle to score Warren, who made it 10-7.

Luke Pastor (Camp Hill, Pa. / Trinity) got the win in relief for the Eagles, going four innings while allowing five hits, two runs, three walks, and striking out two. Dominic Hoyle (Woodbridge, Va. / Garfield) came in and got the save in the seventh.

Game two opened with the Eagles getting on the board first, with McClain scoring from third on a wild pitch to make it 1-0. Two batters later, Swank bopped a single to right to score Maclay. Swank wound up scoring on Raab’s sac bunt to make it 3-0.

The Rangers got two back in the second, on an RBI-single to right and a sac fly to right.

They jumped ahead in the fifth on back-to-back RBI doubles and an RBI single to take a 5-3 lead.

Hoyle entered in the sixth and put a lid on the Rangers, only allowing one hit and striking out four in the final two innings.

Maclay led off the seventh with a walk, and Snyder walked as well to put runners at first and second. Swank lasered a double down the left-field line to tie the game at 5-5. Warren bunted Swank over to third, and Raab flew out to right to get Swank home for the win.

The Eagles will travel to Drew for the backend of the series Monday, with the first pitch at 1:00 PM. The game was moved from tomorrow due to inclement weather.
