East Juniata shuts out Susquenita

The East Juniata Girls Soccer team plastered the ball early in often in their contest against Susquenita 10-0 Thursday afternoon.

Thea Neimond finished her day with a hat trick while teammate Leah Sankey finished with two to lead the Tigers’ offensive attack. 

“They worked well together for their second game and we’re utilizing what we teach them at practice,” said East Juniata girls soccer coach Valeria Dressler. “ We are looking forward to our next game.”

Paige Crissman led of the scoring as she hit on a goal that was assisted by Hailey Swartz at 6:05.

Sankey hit her first goal minutes later on an unassisted shot at 9:18. 

Sankey again hit another unassisted goal at 11:33.

Maddison McDonald got into the scoring act after hitting a shot assisted by Thea Neimond with 15:30 showing.

Swartz, after having an early assist, scored on an unassisted at 17:05, keeping the East Juniata run going.

East Juniata increased the score to 

6-0 when Neimond hit on an assist by Swartz at the 56:49 mark.

Neimond was at it again on an unassisted goal at 64:25.

Neimond made it three in a row as she blasted another unassisted goal at 71:17. 

Alyssa Hibbs made it 9-0 on an unassisted goal at 72:45.

Swartz rounded out scoring with an unassisted goal at 75:29.

East Juniata tallied 21 shots on goal.

The Tigers finished with six corner kicks.

EJ Goalie Kayla Forry snatched up one save.
