EJ bats start early and often with 9-3 win over Susquenita

The East Juniata baseball team is inching closer to the .500 mark.

Thursday night, the Tigers improved to 3-4 in Tri-Valley League action and 3-5 overall in its 9-3 victory over Susquenita.

Winning pitcher on the night was Daniel Kanagy as he rolled to six strong innings on the mound, striking out 11 and allowed just one earned run.

Leading the way for the Tigers offensively was Kanagy and Evan Clouser as they both had two hits each.

Nathaniel Losch has two RBIs on the night.

After a scoreless first inning by both teams, East Juniata scored eight in the next for inning before Susquenita was able to plate a run en route to the victory.
