EJ girls hang tough but falls to UDA

The East Juniata girls basketball team kept it close Saturday but couldn’t get the victory against Upper Dauphin in a TVAA match up.

In the end, Upper Dauphin would take the contest 55-47.

Cypress Feltman led the scoring for East Juniata, finishing with 13.

Teammate Marissa Coudriet chipped in with 11 while Amara Brubaker rounded things out with 10.

Upper Dauphin opened the first quarter, outscoring the Lady Tigers 16-6.

They got even hotter offensively in the second period, outscoring them 19-7 to take a convincing 35-13 lead into the intermission.

East Juniata continued to battle, tying Upper Dauphin step-for-step in the third as both scored 13.

The Tigers exploded in the final stanza notching 21 points but it wasn’t enough as super Dauphin was able to hold onto the 55-47 contest.
